THE WEEKENDER SWEATER: This sweater is designed as a “stash buster”, meaning it is a good pattern to use up all the ends and yarn scraps you have on hand, but of course it can be knit without scraps as well! The sweater is knit with mostly Sport & DK weight yarn, works up very fast due to the large needles, and can be completed in one weekend! The pattern is worked in the round from the bottom up to the underarms, and worked flat for the front and back. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. Throughout the whole sweater the yarn colours are switched out as you’d like. The sweater is designed to be oversized and has a slouchy look.

This pattern is written for advanced beginner knitters, skills include:
Long tail cast on
Stockinette stitch
Mattress stitch

Materials needed:
Circular needles size 12mm(US 17) 100 & 50cm cables
Scissors
Darning needle
Stitch marker
Measuring tape (metric)
Around 390 (420, 455, 490, 530)gr of scrap yarn. For this sweater I used mostly Sport & DK weight yarn, but all weights of ends and scraps are welcome!

HELGARPEYSAN: Þessi peysa er hönnuð sem “afgangapeysa” þ.e.a.s. hún er mjög góð í að hjálpa við að nota alla garnenda og afganga sem hafa safnast upp, en að sjálfsögðu er líka hægt að prjóna hana án afganga! Vegna stóru prjónanna sem notast er við vinnst peysan mjög hratt, og er vel gerlegt að klára hana á einni helgi. Peysan er prjónuð mest með Sport og DK garni, en líka fínna og grófara garni hér og þar, svo ég hvet þig til þess að nota þá afganga sem þú átt við hendina. Peysan er prjónuð slétt í hring frá botni og upp að handvegi. Þá er peysunni skipt í tvennt og prjónað er framstykki og bakstykk. Ermarnar eru teknar upp og prjónaðar slétt í hring. Í gegnum alla peysuna er litum skipt að vild. Peysan er hönnuð í yfirstærð og á að vera víð og stór.
